Licensed
practical nurse
Duties and responsibilities: A licensed practical
nurse (LPN) in much of the United States and most Canadian provinces is a nurse
who cares for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. LPNs
used to be under the direction of registered nurses and are now under physicians.
Salary: $41,540; the median annual wage for licensed
practical and licensed vocational nurses was $41,540 in May 2012. Employment of
licensed practical and licensed vocational nurses is projected to grow 25
percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations.
Education: LPNs are licensed by the state in which
they practice. To obtain an LPN license, the state may require background
checks and proof of education. Every state administers the National Council of
State Boards of Nursing (NCLEX-PN) exam, which candidates have to pass to
obtain their license.

Reflection: I would not mind doing this. I love
helping people and this would be a perfect job. they get paid good as well and I
would not mind being this. I will consider it.
