Robin Thicke and Pharrell
Williams lost the first round of their "Blurred Lines" lawsuit
against Marvin Gaye's estate. Earlier this year, the two musicians filed a
lawsuit after receiving threats from Gaye's family, who accused Thicke and
Williams of stealing parts of their hit song "Blurred Lines" from
Gaye's "Got to Give It Up." Gaye's estate then filed a countersuit,
claiming that Thicke had a "Marvin Gaye fixation," in addition to
stealing music. Now, a California judge ruled that the songs may be substantially
similar.U.S. District Judge John Kronstadt denied Thicke and Williams' motion
for summary judgement on Thursday, citing that there was enough evidence to
move forward with the Gaye family's claim. He wrote that the "defendants
have made a sufficient showing that elements of 'Blurred Lines' may be
substantially similar to protected, original elements of 'Got to Give It
Up.'"Kronstadt's ruling saw similarities in the two songs' bass lines,
keyboard parts, vocal lines, melodies and harmonies. The trial is scheduled for
Feb. 10, 2015.The lawsuit made headlines last month when The Hollywood Reporter
obtained depositions from April, which contained bizarre revelations about the
making "Blurred Lines." Thicke admitted that Williams wrote the song,
though he tried to take credit for it, that he was "high on Vicodin and
alcohol" during studio time and lied about the process of writing the song
in previous interviews.Billboard reports that the case could be one of the
biggest trials over alleged song theft ever.

“The true way to honor the past is

reflection: I agree with this quote
because in order for you to be better and improve yourself is to change and do
better for the future.
Reflexology
Reflexology
Duties and
responsibilities: Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application
of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand
techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones
and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with
the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.[1]
Education: If a reflexology
career interests you, finding the right reflexology school can make all the
difference to your success. A reflexology program should provide not only the
technical training you will need to do the job, but also fundamental business
concepts and other essential aspects of the profession.
Salary: According to the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 2014-15 Occupational Outlook Handbook, the
median national annual salary for massage therapists is $35,970. Actual
salaries may vary greatly based on specialization within the field, location,
years of experience and a variety of other factors.

Reflection: I would not like to study this because it does not yet interest
me, the salary is alright but not something I want to peruse and do for the
rest of my life.

“It may make a
difference to all eternity weather we do right or wrong today”
James freeman Clark

Reflection: I agree with this because the actions you do now will
reflect you in the future. Its if you care enough to be on the right path or
not. Kind of like if you were to get incarcerated it will affect you in getting
a job or looking right to the public. That one minor or big decision will determine
a big step in your future its if you’re willing to take the consequence or not.

Duties and responsibilities: The forensic sciences form
a vital part of the entire justice and regulatory system. The forensic
scientist's goal is the evenhanded use of all available information to
determine the facts and, subsequently, the truth.
Salary: Income in the forensic
sciences varies greatly depending on the type of job, the employer, and the
work requirements. Forensic science
careers provide comfortable, but not necessarily “high dollar,” salaries. Forensic scientists work different hours,
depending upon what they do. Most scientists
in forensic laboratories work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Others work in the field and their work hours
may vary. Still others are “on call” and
the work hours vary widely. Every branch
of forensic science offers opportunity for personal growth, career advancement,
and increased financial compensation.

reflection: I agree
with this 100% because in order for a future or a greater one you need to go
step by step for example, for a great future you’re going to school, having
really good grades, outstanding behavior and being an over achiever you
creating a good future ahead of you and through those step were hard but on the
end of the line all you worked for was worth it.
Bless you

Usually when people
say it or when I say it is to wish some well, good health to you. The phrase
"God bless you" is attributed to Pope Gregory the Great, who uttered
it in the sixth century during a bubonic plague epidemic (sneezing is an
obvious symptom of one form of the plague). Already as you know the plague killed
many during the industrial revolution. For the most part, the various sneeze
responses originated from ancient superstitions. Some people believed that a
sneeze causes the soul to escape the body through the nose. Saying "bless
you" would stop the devil from claiming the person's freed soul. We now
know that sneezing is a reflex action and is most often the sign of something
relatively benign, such as a cold or allergy. A sneeze also can be provoked by
being outside in the sunlight or from smelling a strong odor. Still, we persist
in the custom of saying "bless you", mainly out of habit and common
courtesy.
